Eugene F. DeMark

Eugene F. DeMark is a Managing Director at First Long Island Investors.  Gene is responsible for developing new client relationships and is part of the team which provides investment and wealth management services in a customized fashion so that each client’s asset allocation matches their individual needs, goals, and risk tolerance.

Gene led the Northeast Advisory Practice (Consulting) for KPMG LLP, a global professional services firm, until 2009 and before that served in many other leadership roles at KPMG, predominantly within the Audit Practice.  He serves as a board member for several public companies including BankUnited, 1-800-Flowers.com, and Madison Square Garden Networks.  Gene’s 40-plus years of financial experience allows him to assess the investment landscape through a unique lens that benefits clients.

Philanthropy is very important to Gene and he has always been a leader in his community.  He has served as chairman of the Long Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, president of the Nassau County council of the Boy Scouts of America and Northeast Regional board member of the national organization, president of the Nassau Chapter of the National Association of Accountants, Treasurer of the New Long Island Partnership and chairman of the Economic Development Task Force—Project Long Island.  Gene holds a B.B.A. degree from Hofstra University, is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
