Senior Vice President – Wealth Management and a Member of FLI’s Investment Committee
Edward joined First Long Island Investors in 2003 and is a member of the Investment Committee. His investment-related responsibilities span the complete range of FLI’s asset allocation categories of security, defensive strategies, traditional equity, and private investments through his participation in the sub-committees for each strategy. He is part of the research, analysis, and due diligence team for potential new equity holdings, existing holdings, outside managers, and private investments the firm is considering. Edward is the fixed income portfolio manager- responsible for buying and selling bonds for clients. Edward provides clients with customized asset allocation recommendations based on their needs and goals as well as guidance on various wealth management considerations including estate planning and philanthropic giving. Before joining FLI, Edward held a multifaceted position within the areas of marketing, client service, and investment research at Lazard Asset Management LLC, a subsidiary of Lazard Freres & Co.
Edward serves on the Board of Advisors of the Long Island Community Foundation (LICF), a division of The New York Community Trust, one of the country’s oldest and largest community foundations. Edward is a member of the Long Island Association’s Young Professionals Committee. Edward received a B.B.A. from Hofstra University with a double concentration in Marketing and Finance. He also received an Executive M.B.A. from Hofstra University and was selected as a member of the international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma. Edward was honored with Long Island Business News “40 Under 40” award in 2014. Ed is passionate about helping our clients achieve “a wealth of life” and strives to experience some of that himself through the enjoyment of spending time with his family and traveling. In 2016 he completed a personal goal of visiting all seven continents.
