Stephen J. Juchem

Steve is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer at First Long Island Investors.  He has been with the firm since 1994.  In his role, Steve focuses on long-term planning for both First Long Island Investors and its clients.  His expertise is leveraged for clients across many areas including income and estate tax planning, business management, and budget planning.  Steve and his team are also responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for all FLI investment strategies.  Steve began his career with the international accounting firm of KPMG and during his tenure there held various positions in both the audit and tax professional departments.

Steve is active in many professional and philanthropic organizations.  He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and has served on its Estate and Personal Financial Planning Committee.  Since 2009 Steve has been involved with Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization.  He currently serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and Treasurer of the Board of Directors.  He also serves on the Finance Committee and previously held the position of Secretary of the Board of Directors.  Steve graduated cum laude from Hofstra University with a BBA in Public Accounting in 1990 and graduated at the top of his class from Long Island University where he earned his MS in Taxation in 1994.  He also received the prestigious Elijah Watt Sells Award for performance with high distinction on the CPA Exam.  Steve enjoys traveling, skiing, and long distance running – he has completed 11 marathons.
